That's a big part of the problem with this issue--you really don't know how the candidates see the end game. The D candidates, I should say. There's always that slippery slope looming and, if, like me, you're wary about the long-term fiscal risk, it's hard to embrace some proposals that seem not unreasonable on the surface but may hide a time bomb.
