I think a scrappiness gap has opened up between Clinton and Obama.

Of all the things she could hit him with - too little experience, too left-wing, too elitist, not electable, etc - scrappiness is the only thing where she is more than just marginally better. That's why it is working for her.

Obama's running scared. I saw this on youtube when he refused to comment on a foreign policy question:

Asked if he had heard that Carter reported a positive outcome from the meeting, Obama looked at the reporter who questioned him and said, "Why can't I just eat my waffle?"

Asked again by the reporter, Obama bit. Not at the question but into a butter-covered bite of Glider's specialty over-size Belgian waffles. With a wink this time he said, "Just let me eat my waffle."

No more debates for Obama. No questions. Just stick to speeches filled with slogans .... change, hope, audacity, yes we can, we are the hope .... blah blah blah.
