Perhaps Oil is to wood or Oil is to wind power is a better analogy.

By my rough reckoning, oil has about 20k BTUs per pound and anthracite has about 13k BTUs per pound.

Wood has about 6k BTUs per pound, uranium about 1.7 million BTUs per pound.
