To be honest mish, you could be right, but I cannot see it.

The one thing people do not talk about much is how much the domestic deficit will balloon if we go into a serious recession. Over a trillion dollars would be my guess.

I just do not see how we can have a serious recession (that weakens the dollar), the feds print tons of money, borrow tons of money and not have it devalue the dollar which will cause commodities to rise (because commodites are valued in dollars) just as is happening now??

Somehow I feel Japan's problems are not exactly analagous to ours.

But I do not pretend to understand the economic dynamics at play here very well.
