The economy, the war, and the general disgust with the Bush years are all moving in their direction, regardless of who the standard bearer is.

Economies generally do well during an election year, so I suspect it is at at least a temporary low point. The war is already getting better and likely to be much better. You can tell it's better by the fact it's almost never in the news, except when the occasional large bomb goes off. If you are correct why is McCain ahead in the polls?

Sure they will. Dems are divided into two passionate camps who disrespect (at best) the leader of the opposing camp. One camp will lose and we know Democrats are good losers.
