KT,

I think the democrats are insane if they nominate Obama - assuming they are even trying to maximize their chances of winning. It's not that he can't win, he can because of the conditions and the republican nominee, but it's pretty clear at this point that Hillary has a much better chance.

Clinton is clearly winning the non-black vote against Obama. The only reason it's even close is that Obama is getting 90% of the black vote. The problem is that there are very few blacks on the republican/independent side for him to get and there are loads of non-black democrats and independents that have been voting for Hillary that could switch to a moderate republican like McCain because of race or because of all the recent revelations about Obama.

The idea that she's won fewer delegates or popular votes is also marginally flawed because she would have won Michigan and Florida but they aren't being counted. It would be a lot closer if they were counted.

If you go down the list of large states, swing states, states that have typically voted for the democrat that Obama has done poorly in that are now at risk, it becomes apparent how vulnerable he is even to a semi senile pro war old fart like McCain in the middle of a recession and rising food and energy prices. It's almost comical.

The truth is if Obama wasn't black (or better yet you reversed races) the democrats and the left wing media (everyone except Fox and talk radio) would have treated Clinton fairly and supported her. Instead they attacked her and Bill relentlessly and handled Obama with kid gloves and caused this to happen. Their own political correctness and fear of what would happen to black support if they went by experience, merit, and probability of winning instead of supporting the first qualified and legitimate black candidate put them into this position. I can't help but laugh at them. The level of stupidity on the left is so extreme it's mind boggling.
