John, there was no need for the pope to specifically mention "immigrants" when he urged the Catholic clergy to feed the poor. Long-time Catholic US citizens are already outraged to realize the church has turned a blind eye to the laws of the land. This once proud nation of laws is swiftly deteriorating into a culture similar to Mexico's third world status. If citizens don't demand enforcement of the laws, who will? Why would the population of a country, whether illegal immigrant or citizen, observe the other laws when government officials and church leaders have encouraged them to break those already on the books? The fact is they won't.
