Sorry, my mistake. >>> I dont like what you have done in your post. Well, I'm not worried about whether anyone "likes" my post or not. I'm just stating the facts and giving you my interpretation. The facts are what they are.btw the fight against osama is in south asia, not the middle east and the religious fanaticism of al quaeda is based in saudi arabia and not iraq. Osama has said that AQI is the "central front" for the jihad. Certainly, the United States administration believes it is now the "central front". So, who are you arguing with -- Osama or the administration, or both? The Islamic extremism that is the basis for AQ undoubtedly has roots in SA, but it is wrong to assume that it is not present in Iraq OR that it is "based" in SA. If one looks at the history of bin Laden, there is little doubt that it is "based" in Afghanistan and has pulled its membership from the entire ME. That many members of AQ are Saudis is not indicative of where AQ is "based". The "central front" was Afghanistan, it is now Iraq, and it could well be somewhere else at a future date.Yes i know al quaeda is in play in iraq but one of many and not the strongest. Leaving iraq over a year or two is not necessarily the worst thing for our interests and knowledge by iraq of our withdrawl may bring them up to snuff a lot quicker if at all possible. NO, what it does is tells the fighters that if they hold a little longer, victory is assured. Anyone, ANYONE can tolerate a little more when they see light at the end of the tunnel, and the liberals are providing just that light. McCains stay the course until hell freezes over is not my cup of tea. He hasnt come to terms with our loss in vietnam yet. I don't think McCain (or Bush, for that matter) has advocated any such thing. Both have said we will stay until the job is done, which is the ONLY competent position to take. The liberal view of setting some date certain to get out is, on its face, a stupid way to run a war and nobody in his right mind would do it. If you're going to set a date of getting out, for example, a year from now, then you should simply withdraw today. Fold the tents and go home. To do otherwise risks American lives with no potential to win the conflict.
