I agree. Sounds a bit too good to be true, from a personal perspective, that is. From a public policy perspective, ouch!

Rambi, I also think she's misinformed. My mother is a career military widow. The only medical benefit she receives is Tricare which gives her a prescription drug benefit. Maybe there's some other medical benefit, if one can drive to a military base. But my mom relies on Medicare and on Tricare.

I believe that only the veterans themselves get access to VA hospitals.
