I dont know specifics. They did hate taliban and the afgan/pak tribe most come from. There is no love with bin laden. They offered sympathy to us on 9/11. NO biggie but... Neutred al quaeda not really a threat to them today but growing al quaeda is a big deal to them. Many more sunnis than shia and iran surrounded by arab mostly sunnis and south asian mostly sunnis as well. If i were them i would be looking ultimatly to calm things down in the ME particularly in iraq where they have already achieved many of their objectives.
