I think there are those, including myself, who may be falsely hoping she could somehow recreate the successes of the Clinton years. Your analysis here is correct and not at all patronizing, I think.

I highlighted the above statement because I agree with this and hope the supers are examining this fact and trying to find out why she won last night with a pretty good margin.

I have to say that I kind of feel like Obama is being pushed on me by the liberal wing of the party, and I like it less and less. There's a lot thats gone on in this campaign that annoys me along those lines. (It has nothing to do with the people on the thread. I just vent and forget that some might see these as personal attacks.)

Reminds me of the people who couldn't understand why anyone would vote for Reagan, right before he won 49 states in his re-election. They tunnel-visioned on their views and their priorities without considering that others may see both the politicians and the issues quite differently.
