You have to ask yourself why "peak food" has coincided with "peak oil" once again, just as it did in the 1977-1981 period. That was another four year period when our natural resources were "suddenly exhausted" and the population "suddenly too big". It was the end of another cycle of inflation - so that part is right. But the mania is all a human phenomena. We had a bubble in farm land prices during that period as well, and it will end the same this time, just as it always has.
