I see Smithee just put it ever so much more concisely than I could so be sure to read his post. Stein was there to tell us that we are being automatically shut off from any DISCUSSION of the matter, or even listening to any discussion of the various theories far as Intelligent Design is concerned. And that is a very dangerous situation, IMO. Then make a movie that condemns academic group-think and condemn the behavior of academic scorn. Do not use this behavior as an argument that supports "something else". It is not evidence that the "something else" is correct. It is a straw-man argument. Al Gore is just tapping into the already existing behavior or academic group-think and using it for his purposes. We do not live in a totalitarian society and we are all free to speak our minds and express out opinions. Bringing Hilter and Stalin into a discussion will rarely lend additional credibility to an argument that you are trying to make.
