The balance of power in the Middle East has been evened-out with Iran. No longer can the Israelis maintain superiority since Iran now has leverage over them. It is like the US/Russia role playing in the Cold War, there is now mutual assured destruction if either Israel or Iran targets the other. Right now Iran does not need a nuclear weapon, it has hundreds of missles (sunburns) that can reach Dimona in a split second and these low flying missiles cannot be detected by conventional radar or US/Israeli weaponry. Why do you think the the US has allowed Iran to kick it in the teeth and groin for over two years?????????????? Because the US is afraid of them? No, it's because both the US and Israel know that any attempt at targeting Iran will assure the destruction of Israel. Condi knows this, Carter knows this, Olmert knows this , and so does cockey gun slinging Bush (but he can't shoot without having Israel being blown away in a mushroom cloud). However the US citizenry and probably the Israeli citizens don't know this critical situation. Why do you think Israel does not go into Iranian air space, or why the US wimps out when the itty bitty Iranian boats challenge them in the Persian Gulf? They're afraid of triggering the mushroom cloud, that's why. Now, in addition to the foregoing, our Arab so called allies (puppets), Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan are now "afraid" to be too aligned with Uncle Sam since their overwhelming populations support Ahmedinejad and his stance on the Palestinian issue. They are less likely to support US/Israel in its relations w/the Palestinians. It is this shakey shakey situation that forebodes serious trouble for Israel's future existence. If these puppets are toppled, Israel will not have to worry about suicide bombers, they will have to worry about armed suicide governments willing to give up the ghost with the REAL capability to exterminate Israel. And, they don't care about being blown away themselves because there are more procreating Arabs than Israelis. So, Michael, I say again with all sincerity, I hope Israel makes some kind of peace because if it doesn't happen, I don't forsee a Jewish state in the next century.
