There is no democracy that I know of. Certainly not the Democrat Party! They are proving that as we speak. Some states don't get a peoples vote, only their representatives, if they get their vote in.

Republics like Greece have been hailed as birthing Democracy and certainly as we use the term democracy they are correct. However, theirs was a representative Republic. These republics that modeled in part the Greek Republic have been called democracy only because the people did have some say in electing their representatives.

The Democrats when to their advantage attempt to make the electoral college as not a democracy. let's say we had a democracy as the most foolish libs think. What would we need Senators and Congressmen for? Even the president would be unnecessary. We could vote on every minutia. We would do nothing but votes. But who would introduce the bills to vote on? I suppose we could elect Senators and Congressmen to do that. Then we might elect a President to form an administration to take care of the minutia.

There we go again...making a Republic....only because it is a necessary matter to conduct business more effectively and securely than a mob. The Byzantine Empire in it last days had rulers switched, killed , replaced faster than any banana republic in modern history.

The Republic for which I stand....is the best way.

The Founding Fathers feared tyranny more than anything. More than ANYTHING. Monarchists (the Bushies), theocracy and the minority (rightwing) controlling the majority by cheating and lying.

The Founding Fathers would want Bush-Cheney hung by the neck until dead, and all their rightwing radio pundits and Karl Roive types too. All traitors to democracy.
