Bob;

Are you completely delusional?

Any discussion to increase oil taxes WOULD involve the oil companies. To drill or not drill in places such as Anwar would take some kind of consensus by politicians. Perhaps you haven't noticed but "special interest Groups" have huge influence on our politicians. That discussion would need give and take from all I would assume. That give and take might very well be an agreement to place a tax on oil to reduce demand - as we discussed. You can compartmentalize, but any real solution means all sides need to have a seat at the table. Now if that is being delusional - then call me delusional. Oh ya you already did.
