I agree with you with regard to Quayle, but in general you are innocent until proven guilty.

Mass media does not always get it right. They gave George W. Bush a pass. They never reported the inappropriate faces that he would make and the mangled utterances until after it was too late.

It has to be proven over time.

We can not elect anyone into office to be leader of the free world without having gone through a rigorous vetting process.
