It would have to be the same culture and security stuff that barely tipped Ohio to Bush in 2004. I think it will be harder to scare voters this time around, but let's be honest, a lot of the older white males may just decide that another old white male is their best comfort-level bet. Which unfortunately means a ton of campaigning aimed at convincing them to be uncomfortable with Obama or Hillary. More labeling, defining, smearing, etc. The whole process really stinks. But that's how 50.x% elections are won. The odds of that game changing are receding quickly now.
