I do believe a race between Obama and McCain will elevate the level of the rhetoric to a place we haven't seen in the recent past, which I think is good.

If Hillary is in it, it will be nasty. The Clinton's have employed personal attacks for years and will not stop it now. However, personal attacks against McCain come with a risk for the attacker.
