I'd like to see an Obama ad with Wright speaking about how Jesus loves us. There's a lot of material like that available.

I'm not certain that's precisely the right strategy but I certainly agree the Obama people are going to have to provide a strong counter narrative about Wright. All the good both he and the church have done.

I assume they feel that were they to do it now, the campaign would become simply about competing interpretations of Wright, rather than why Obama should be the nominee. And the heat factor would be intensified.

So I suspect they will wait until they have locked up the nomination, then move to a period when they can have a week or two that focuses on Wright, putting out that strong counter narrative.

Assuming something else doesn't happen to bring Wright front and center before their own timetable does.
