Are our troops home from FDR's war in Japan or Germany ? Are our troops back from Truman's war ? Clinton's war in Bosnia ?

I guess you don't follow the news much? Saddam's government fell quickly. The fighting in Iraq now isn't against Iraq, it's against a whole new enemy that sprang up after the war against Iraq was over.

The war AGAINST Iraq ended quickly. The war IN Iraq is what's dragging on.

Re: [The war against Iraq was short and clean.] "Really! And the troops came home when? Our youth stopped laying their lives down in Iraq when? Gees...."

The war was. (Saddam toppled and captured.)

It's the occupation that has dragged on and on... Each further year more deadly to US forces then the last. Each further year more COSTLY then the last....
