I guess you don't follow the news much? Saddam's government fell quickly. The fighting in Iraq now isn't against Iraq, it's against a whole new enemy that sprang up after the war against Iraq was over. The war AGAINST Iraq ended quickly. The war IN Iraq is what's dragging on.
