It's neither - it's stagflation, the Fed's nightmare.
They lower the rates - and it does not help, because
commodities sky, driving consumer spending on other goods
and profits lower. They just can't push more debt into the
system by lowering rates. Consumer is tapped out, too much
in debt, etc. Housing prices deflate, commodity prices sky.

US dollar moving up leads to stock market rallies, rather
than dumps.
