No, I haven't read or listened to Coxe.

I wonder about the effect of biofuel production on overall grain production. How much land is really being converted from growing rice to growing corn? I wouldn't think any, since rice paddies and cornfields aren't even remotely alike. Farmers might choose to produce corn instead of wheat, maybe, if corn prices are better.

I do know that new farmland, specifically for the production of corn for ethanol, is being created by further devastating the Amazon rain forest, which is of course a huge tragedy.
