During his formative years he was raised by his grandparents instead of his mother and father. Despite that he managed to get into Columbia undergrad and Harvard Law School postgrad. He got into the Law Review at Harvard and was elected its first black President. If you know anything about Law Review, you'll know how incredibly difficult it is to get in. Only top notch students get that privilege. Then he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard. All of those accomplishments point to a singularly brilliant mind, yet you claim he is not a smart person.

Then he went on to distinguish himself as a community organizer and later taught Constitutional Law as a Professor/Lecturer at Univ of Chicago Law School. Then he went into politics.

In the state legislature, he gained the bipartisan support necessary to pass wide ranging ethics and health care reforms for the state. In the US Senate, he is the only currently serving black senator. In the senate, he has co-sponsored bills on immigration and ethics reform, as well getting a law passed on gov't spending transparency. I could go on.

Oh, and one other thing. He's written two books on his own...no ghost writers. You should read them so you can be better informed about this great man's accomplishments.
