We have two patent pools that appear to be in some form of competition. We have the Intel/Sansung-led NGMN pool, and the Nokia/Ericsson-led LTE pool. Intel & Samsung have expressed an interest in lower, reasonable royalties for WiMAX and LTE. The NGMN is an operator driven initiative; the LTE group appears to be a vendor driven approach.

There don't appear to be any standards bodies involved and apparently the patent pool and consequent IPR regime will be dictated by the market, from what I can gather. What do you see that leads you to believe otherwise? Or are you basing your conclusions on past experiences?
