I said the other day that speculators are being blamed for all our ills as a stalking horse to attack free markets. If you outlaw speculation, I don't know what you have but you DON'T have a free market.

I'm beginning to come to the same conclusion ..

I had always assumed that TPTB were well aware of the
potential ramifications of fossil fuel depletion and had
at least come to some tacit conclusions about appropriate
mitigation strategies and to deploy same in a timely fashion
so as to cushion the blow during the transition period ..

Doesn't appear that anyone is manning the helm ..
