At any rate, those pardons were Bill's. Not sure how much sense it makes to logically tar Hillary with them, unless some see her as lacking an independent mind.

With that I completely agree. If we simply discuss the pardons, I have/had no problems with the Susan Rosenberg one. But if we get into this discussion via the Ayers question, then I have problems with Hillary pushing the Ayers thing. She's much more vulnerable on the Rosenberg.

You can, for instance, easily imagine serious conversations between Bill and Hillary about the Rosenberg pardon. After all, she was already running for the Senate, or had been elected, I forget just which. More likely the latter. Since it was a biggie in the media, it would be something she would have had to consider.

As for Ayers and Obama, that's just silly. And Hillary should have chided the moderators for even going there.

The Hillary name recognition is because of Bill. There are many other women in politics, that are as good and even better than Hillary. when Bill says 2 for 1, I don't think he means that he deserves to be considered because of her outstanding qualities and achievements. I think it is the other way around. So if Hillary rides on the successes of Bill, it is fair for her to also share in Bill's failure like the 11th hour pardons.

after all it is not like somebody else like their pastor said something for which she is being accountable.
