What a ridiculous post, whackode00.

Retention rates among SF personnel and morale are very high.

No, we are in Iraq for oil profits along with defense and industrial profits and political profit for Republicans.

I have more respect for people who are actually on the frontlines of this fiasco than you do.

No you don't.

people who do essentially the same job but who are paid much more and have better equipment

Few contractors do anything that approaches the same job. The vast majority are not security contractors, and the security contractors, don't do the same exact job either. Guarding a state department official is different than assaulting a nest of islamofascists, or going or patrolling a town.

No, I have a problem with the privatization of such an important public function.

Again there has been no privatization.

And as for the contracting, do you have a problem when government contractors build ships for the navy, or set up computer systems? Or should the government move that all in house as well.

"And not all the security contractors are hired by the US government."

That is a meaningless statement.

Its a very meaningful point. If the Iraqi government, or some company (American or not) hires security guards, that is hardly a sign of the US contracting out the war.
