Maybe McCain thinks that by trying to stay above the fray, the Keating 5 debacle won't be raised......if so, he's dreaming. Just wait for the moment when the MSM, which he regards as friendly to him, gears up for the general election and sharpens its collective claws in the name of alleged journalistic integrity..... He'll need another disability award before they're through with him :-). McCain better recognize in a hurry that he needs a constituency and a party if he hopes to (a) win, or (b) accomplish anything if he does win. As matters presently stand, McCain is engaged in a bad brand of identity politics: "It's all ME, ME, ME....!"
