I’m sure McCain will make it clear he doesn’t have authority over all his supporters. It is however going to be a long campaign and Republicans will need to be mindful of not appearing too malicious, particularly with an African American opponent. The primary focus of the campaign should be directed toward McCain’s vision for the future and Obama’s scandals are better dealt with unofficially.
