I sure do remember Spaceman, but I had totally forgotten (till looking at your link) that he started Game 7 in 1975, which followed the extra-inning Carlton Fisk home-run winning Game 6. And that he was part of the '78 season collapse, which brings back the painful memory of which I was in personal attendance at the 'who's Buck Dent' 7th inning homer off Mike Torrez, then to recall that in the bottom of the 9th inning of that game Rick Burleson was going from 1st to 3rd but had to hold up thinking a shallow single to right would be caught and only got to 2nd, and therefore couldn't score when Rice hit the long fly to right and could've come home if he was at 3rd, then Yaz grounded a Gossage fastball that even Goose himself later said he didn't know if it would be inside or outside he just threw it as hard as he could and Yaz said Gossage fastballs usually tail inside and that's what he planned and if it had been inside it would've scored Burleson and tied the game, but instead ...

... sorry, I spent years in therapy working this out. Can we instead talk about Jacoby Ellsbury stealing a base, or "Havlicek stealing the ball." ;-)
