Look we go to the bank and bust our asses over 1% for a mortgage or a loan because it makes difference to our viability in the day to day finances. I am not pursuing a debate on good or bad Ecuador , just that buying a deposit and then investing in infrastructure is huge decision. Would you pay 100% for a house,
borrow the cash and then find out you paid 100% but only get 90%
of the floor space ?

Would not sit well.
