South Park parody
The Week That Was is on vacation.

Well, actually I am on vacation, from writing it.

It stopped being fun.

I may get back to it. In the meantime, the parodies continue. Today it is “Blame Canada” from South Park.

The video.

The parody:

HOWARD DEAN:
Times have changed
Our party’s getting worse
Obama and Hillary?
Our dream team became a curse!

NANCY PELOSI:
Should we blame Republicans?

HARRY REID:
Or the media?

TED KENNEDY:
Or should we blame the ABC debates?

HOWARD DEAN:
No, blame Rush Limbaugh

EVERYONE:
Blame Rush Limbaugh

HOWARD DEAN:
With all his beady little eyes
And Dittoheads so full of lies

EVERYONE:
Blame Rush Limbaugh
Blame Rush Limbaugh

HOWARD DEAN:
We need to form a full assault

KEITH OLBERMANN:
It’s Rush Limbaugh’s fault!

NANCY PELOSI:
Don’t blame me for Obama
Wright became a damn cartoon
And now he’s caught in a Fox drama!

HARRY REID:
And my Hillary was the Queen of the Choir
But now she thinks in Bosnia there was sniperfire!

HOWARD DEAN:
Well, blame Rush Limbaugh

JAMES CLYBURN:
Blame Rush Limbaugh

AL FRANKEN:
It seems his Operation Chaos has worked
Well, Rush Limbaugh is a big fat jerk
Blame Rush Limbaugh
Blame Rush Limbaugh

BILL CLINTON:
He’s not a college graduate anyway

MRS. EDWARDS:
My John could’ve been the toast of Washington city,
Instead he burned up in a video “I Feel Pretty.”

ROBERT C. BYRD:
Should we blame his haircuts
At four hundred bucks a pop?
Or his 2 Americas crap that just wouldn’t stop?

HOWARD DEAN:
Heck no!

EVERYONE:
Blame Rush Limbaugh
Blame Rush Limbaugh

HOWARD DEAN:
With all his prescription drugs ta-do

HARRY REID:
And that beast Anne Coulter too

EVERYONE:
Blame Rush Limbaugh
Shame on Rush Limbaugh
For…
The loss we now face
The train we now wreck
The laughter and disgrace
Must all be undone
We must cause a fuss and blame Rush
Before somebody thinks of blaming us!

Of course, it's much easier for liberals to project their anger at Rush than to look at their own Democratic Party. For example, why are the Clintons still in this race? Why isn't Bill put on a tighter leash? And why isn't anyone speaking out against the whole concept of "superdelegates"?

Changing the subject... OK. Hill is still in the race because those are the rules. You can kick her out; this is America. Same answer for Bill being on a shorter leash. And a lot of people are speaking out against the whole concept of super delegates.

Your comparison to Rev. Wright falls short because (a) he wasn't after publicity (proven by the fact that no one knew who he was or what he said until Obama became a serious contender for the presidency), and (b) he wasn't trying to troll white conservatives.

There are a lot of churches on the SS of Chicago. They compete like crazy for parishioners (and subsequent donations). And they compete with fiery, controversial sermons (much like Rush).

The more I think about it the more I think Rush and Rev Wright have a lot in common.
