Luckily Costco doesn't force you to buy in those quantities, and I've seen no one toothless there :-)

I shop for what I need that day and maybe the next. I have two kitchen overhead cabinet shelves for staples, together not large enough for a bag of bulk rice. No matter how expensive food gets, that's the way it will be. I can't even cost justify a membership at Costco, let alone filling up a cart there. <g>
