Maybe we can keep figuring these things out.

Because of the huge heat production of nuclear reactors, electricity/desalination complexes look like a natural combination. A sudden turn to nuclear power could occur any time, and that means uranium. Pointing out how France gets almost all its electricity from nuclear plants doesn't seem to interest many Americans who seem determined to look down on France, especially since they don't speak French and can't afford to go there any more. <G>

But there are some terrific investments in uranium available right now, starting with U.TO, uranium participation, which simply holds the physiecal uranium and which is --I think-- selling at a slight discount from net asset value. Then there's UEX corp (UEX.TO) that keeps finding deposits that are so rich than some of them are almost in situ reactors. I own a bunch of UEX and some other uraniums, but can't bring myself to let go of any more of my oil/natural gas/ food positions which may have a better near-term (2-3 years) potential.. These also have nice big current payouts whereas you can't get that yet with anything connected with uranium.

I totally discount ethanol, hydrogen, fuel cells, and a lot of other even quirkier notions. Of course, I could be wrong. I waited until everyone else in my family had a Prius before I concluded that those things could work.
