I didn't say anything about regulating oil prices. We can affect the price of oil only by helping to reduce GLOBAL oil consumption and by returning to a strong dollar policy.

Global oil prices are determined by a combination of supply/demand and regional stability. We can affect both the demand side and the stability side of the equation. We need to work with China, India, and others to increase their efficiency to reduce the rate of increase of demand.

As far as GAS prices, they are determined by a combination of oil and refinery capacity. We can and should remove the incentive for the oil companies to manipulate supply and price via regulation.
