I think we are talking about two different meanings of the dollar dropping. Inflation, or exchange rates.

As for the dollar dropping against other currencies, sure administration policy effects that, but the reasons goes beyond that.

Also considering our trade deficit it can be argued that the dollar devaluation wasn't a bad thing.
