Looks like the outgoing group may be leaving for good reason before the SHTF. I'm not sure how receptive California homeowners who are trying to struggle with an explosion in their property tax bills (because of all the deadbeat non-collections) are going to be about being forced by a policy initiative to pay top dollar to do things like build roads and bridges -- this crap where "only the closed union shops get to bid" that limits price competition and therefore drives up project costs and profits is a luxury from a bygone era that California can ill afford right now -- although they still might get cowed into making such a mistake
