china is more Republican than the GOP and only will go green if pulled that way kicking and screaming.

Twist their arms. What do the growing industries of China and India depend on most? Selling products into our markets. We need to use this leverage to get them to clean up their act, both from a point of view of conservation of resources and pollution. Shut down imports from China of cheap, unhealthy products. Threaten to do the same for their more expensive imports. Present it to the American people as a means of saving our economy and the planet - appeals to both ends of the spectrum.
