You miss the point. Who cares what the Middle East becomes? It shouldn't be our concern. If we want to make any place a Garden of Eden, let's start with that goal in mind for the American people right here at home.

Let's face it. The $10 trillion we owe in debt has mostly been run up with spending on our military and on wars. If we'd taken a small percentage of that, we could have solved EVERY problem we face now: social security, oil independence, health care, medicare, crumbling infrastructure, educational system, etc. The cost of the solution to those problems is a drop in the bucket to what we've spent on our military and on war.

The cost and length of the Iraq war has outstripped WWII and the benefit still has yet to be seen or even imagined.

Your own lack of imagination, except for the fantasy related to your own supposed astuteness, is a startling reminder of the deficit we face in this country.
