:-)
I wouldn't know. I grew up in So Cal. I spent a lot of time hanging out with surfers at the beaches- Malibu, Newport and Mission Bay- and I didn't see them segueing to hard drugs from the pot. It is what it is- like having a glass of wine. The people who crave harder stuff would crave it anyway, whether they start their lives on cigarettes, beer or pot. I think it's all about biochemical cravings- and a certain percentage of our population just doesn't get enough from reality. Some crave excitement- and go in for the extreme sports- which kill or maim you- and some go for drugs. I don't see anything particularly "wrong" with adults craving things like that- you are who you are. Let adults do what they want as long as they only hurt themselves.

And I grew up in Ganjaland. Had ganja just once, threw up and then gave up and turned to yoga. Those were the days when they did not have cocaine. Yup. Long, long time ago :-)
