Thanks....I think it is about 2 or 1/2 hours from here to Yakima....if the pass is good. Have only driven from here to Kennewick once, and it just seemed to be forever... but from here to Yakima is a very pretty and pleasant drive...again, if the weather is good. I will have to look....I actually thought Kennewick and Walla Walla were closer together.

The State of WA is am amazing place. Before we moved here 4 million years ago, my 8th grade teacher said that WA had/has 7 different climate zones. That's probably true. The North Country West (Bellingham, Lynden); the Rain Forest (Olympics), the Costal zone (Seattle and west of here); and the plains of south of Olympia - then on the East side --The wine zone, the wheat zone, the desert zone including rattlesnakes....all inbetween HIGH Mountains, lakes, rivers, and of course Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean.

Then you add in the screwy politicians...
