Big difference between leftists and irrational greens. Anybody that understands statistics, leftist or not, can see that a nuclear power plant results in far fewer deaths from pollution, mining, etc. than an equivalent power fossil fuel plant. European countries other than France do have irrational greens that are worse than what we got here in the US. In Germany they had a plan to shut down all their nuke plants in a few years -- the current government postponed it.
