Furthermore the trend toward NG fired electricity generation had started well before Gore was elected VP in 1992, and more than a decade before Gore became evangelical about the perils of global warming: fuelingthefuture.org You can credit Gore for stopping new coal with about as much credence as crediting him with inventing the Internet. wg PS - As far as I know Gore is not a member of Congress voting on the President's policies nor is he the governor of any state, so blaming him for your insecurities seems outlandish to me.
