You have, again, changed the argument. I never suggested encouraging people to lose weight had anything to do with dying in the streets.

Let me lay out for you exactly what I said- in case you really didn't understand it, and are not simply implying I said something you know is incorrect for some purpose I cannot fathom:

I said I like safety nets. I said if you don't WANT safety nets, you better get used to people dying in the streets- more than already die there. My comment about people dying had to do with safety nets- go back and check, if you don't believe me. You mocked paying for health care, and then paying for people to stay well so you don't need to pay as much for their health care. You made no distinction about what health care you were mocking- so it's easy to assume you don't want the government paying for health care- ergo- no safety nets.

Now, 1. why don't you tell me how much health care you think the government should pay for.

Then 2. Why don't you tell me if you believe in the government paying for health care for anyone- the poor, the elderly- whomever- if you think it's logical to use government money to assist those people in staying healthy IF that assistance is cost effective.

Try to do that without distorting anything else I've said.

Lots of people die on the streets of the US- look it up. Lucky you for never seeing a dead street person.
