<<;0) I am guessing that lines out the typical american girls in the club

what do you think?>>

I think club member kristie lou stout is atypical. llaine is typical and yes I'd think it would rule out American girls. American girls would probably the most difficult to find suitors for in Asia.

IMO following llaine's advice on marriage is akin to taking Dracula's advice on donating blood.

<<but i am not presumptuous enough to offer her advice based on no particularly claimed knowledge>>
Apparently, she doesn't suffer the same limitations. <GG>

Not to pick on llaine too much, I think her line of thinking is common with the woman folk in the US and one has to admit the US men have let it get that way. The common response when asking a man for a commitment, is "I'll have to check with the wife" or even worse "I'll have to check with the boss(wife). I am not sure that even translates to Japanese or Chinese or Thai.
Another hurdle in the US is the power of the State to interfere in family matters. Husband and wife argue, wife calls police says husband was abusing her. Police take husband to jail. It can even be that the state will decide he can not go back to the house.
Things like this do wonders for happy marriages-not!
