"But if a new administration is committed to doing as much as it can to slow global warming,"

I suspect such an administration would have to talk to God to negotiate sun activity more than energy users.

John;

But if a new administration is committed to doing as much as it can to slow global warming, it will try to find ways to both do something here and to influence global opinion to do more.

How significant is the move to do something about GW is a real question in my mind. Green is now everywhere you look. Friday at the dentist office they were handling out those green bags to carry your groceries in so you don't need plastic. The dentist office! ......Also in this weeks NewScientist the books they reviewed were on GW. This is an English publication and my word were they hard on America. .....And one more almost unrelated news clip this morning. Olympic NP lakes are being contaminated with mercury. Because of location and prevailing winds, this contamination almost has to be coming from China. Yikes!
