Karen, let's back up. You claimed that killing the Kyoto treaty was good in that it opened up the possibility for a new treaty. My position is that it was not good because it communicated to the rest of the world that US politics was controlled by interests averse to addressing global warming.

Terrible.

A new administration and a new congress can address that. A new treaty would be of lesser importance than an entirely different attitude, rhetoric, framework. That's the basis for treaties we can't imagine.

If that's you mean, fine. If not, we mean different things.
