i had chosen a few potential wives, then i reneged, got cold feet, chickened out, cleared head, flushed system, woke up.

they were of all sorts from all over, all made of some of the right stuff and all of good stuffing, but the final score came down to a very simple question, "i am on a plane that is doomed. my wife and kid are at home waiting. moment of truth, who do i want my kid's mom to be?"

full stop.

I think men make many such bad choices and then wonder at the cost afterward..

That's so true. Especially after a guy falls in love with a woman, he finds out all the in-laws have cost him the relationship. The guy has to move out and buy a new house to avoid conflict between his wife and his mother. Then, he suddenly finds out the in-law parents will have more priority than his parents if he truly respects his wife. And If his wife has big brothers, the situation would be even worst, because the big brothers can hit the guy if he isn't faithful enough. Then, why get married if love is this painful ?

Speaking of trophy wives, didn't Paul McCartney turn out to incredibly stupid? She really screwed him.
