I promise not to post anything more about GW.

It's an unnecessary diversion from why I'm here anyway which is to make money.

<<<Funny how it is always the GW DENIERS who break the truce.>>> (Emphasis added)

My interest is in your use of the word "deniers" as the politically correct epithet to describe those who doubt the CO2 - Global Warming thesis.

The first time I saw the word "deniers" used in this way was a grossly unfair Newsweek cover story about a year ago. newsbusters.org

Since then, Al Gore, and many other "believers" (my epithet), have picked up on this.

Usually they attempt to tie sceptics of GW to other "deniers": deniers of the holocaust, deniers of the link between tobacco and cancer, and deniers of Darwin and Evolution.

The inference is that sceptics of GW are anti-scientific, irrational, possibly bigoted, but certainly part of a well-funded "right wing"propaganda machine.

But if you go back farther in time, an investigator will soon discover that this always pejorative term was usually used in a religious sense to those deemed HERETICAL.

The most common victims to which this term was applied were Jews: "deniers" was the polite term; "Christ Killers" was the unfriendly form.

And, of course, Galileo, was called a "denier" of the revealed religion when he suggested that the earth revolved around the sun. A vote of the scientists of his day confirmed his heresy.

In all contexts, and in all times, the use of the word "deniers" was intended to intimidate and overawe those with different opinions.

Loneclone why dont you piss off. The context of my post was quite valid, directly related to energy pricing and how global warming politics has exacerbated our energy problems.

Now you label me as a denier.

Now perhaps calling Al Gore a demagogue is too much for you, or a wet dream is a bit vulgar.

My point still stands, Al Gore's led us into a situation where electric prices are going to boom. The public is going to be very disturbed. Now figure out if this means anything from an investment standpoint.

Dont be such a damn cry baby. Leveling derogatory labels as me, like I cant judge the merits of the GW arguments.
